Terms and Conditions

1. The Promoter

1.1 This competition ("Competition") is organised and promoted by Hunt and Gather ("Promoter", "we", "us", "our"), operating the website www.huntandgather.co.za.

1.2 By entering this Competition, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("T's & C's").

2. Competition Period

2.1 The Competition opens on 4 September 2026 and closes on 30 October 2026 at 23:59 (SAST) ("Closing Date"). Entries received after the Closing Date will not be considered.

2.2 The winner will be announced on 1 November 2026.

3. Eligibility

3.1 The Competition is open to South African residents who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.

3.2 Employees, directors, and immediate family members of Hunt and Gather, its affiliated companies, and any agencies involved in the creation or administration of this Competition are not eligible to enter.

3.3 Entrants must have a valid, public Instagram profile in order to enter and be contacted regarding the prize.

3.4 The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant whose Instagram profile appears to be used primarily for the purpose of entering multiple unrelated competitions or giveaways (a "giveaway hopping" account), at the Promoter's sole discretion. This includes, without limitation, accounts with a pattern of comments across numerous other brands' competition posts, generic or anonymous profiles, or accounts with no genuine engagement beyond competition entries.

4. How to Enter

To enter the Competition, entrants must, during the Competition Period:

4.1 Follow the Hunt and Gather Instagram account (@huntandgatherza);

4.2 Comment "BILTONGBOX" on the designated competition post on the Hunt and Gather Instagram feed;

4.3 Tag three (3) friends in the comments of the designated competition post; and

4.4 Purchase any product from www.huntandgather.co.za between 4 September 2026 and 30 October 2026 ("Qualifying Purchase").

4.5 An entry will only be considered valid and complete once all four requirements in clauses 4.1 to 4.4 have been met.

4.6 Entrants may submit multiple entries. Each additional Qualifying Purchase made during the Competition Period will count as one additional entry, provided the entrant has already met the requirements in clauses 4.1 to 4.3. Repeating the comment or tag steps without an accompanying Qualifying Purchase will not constitute an additional entry.

4.7 Proof of the Qualifying Purchase (in the form of an order confirmation, order number, or receipt) may be requested by the Promoter to verify an entry, including at the point of winner selection.

5. Alternative Route

5.1 In accordance with South African law, no entrant is required to make a purchase purely for the purpose of gaining entry into a promotional competition of this nature.

5.2 Entrants who wish to enter without making a Qualifying Purchase may do so by completing steps 4.1 to 4.3 above and additionally emailing [marketing@huntandgather.co.za] with their Instagram handle and the words "Free Entry" in the subject line, before the Closing Date. This alternative entry will be treated with equal weighting to a standard entry for the purposes of the draw.

5.3 The Promoter will not disadvantage any entrant who uses the alternative free entry method described in clause 5.2.

6. The Prize

6.1 One winner will receive:

• One (1) Special Edition Racing Green FIELDBAR Drinks Box, to the value of approximately R2,800; and
• A selection of biltong and droëwors products, to the value of approximately R1,500.

6.2 The total approximate prize value is R4,300. Values are approximate and based on retail pricing at the time of this Competition.

6.3 The prize is not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash, in whole or in part.

6.4 The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize, or any part of it, with an item of equal or greater value, without notice, should circumstances beyond its reasonable control require this.

7. Winner Selection and Notification

7.1 The winner will be selected by random draw from all valid entries received before the Closing Date.

7.2 The draw will take place on or shortly before 1 November 2026, and the winner will be announced on the Hunt and Gather Instagram account and/or contacted directly via Instagram direct message.

7.3 The winner will be required to respond to the notification within 5 (five) business days. Failure to respond within this period may result in forfeiture of the prize, and the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner by way of a further random draw.

7.4 The winner may be required to provide proof of identity, proof of age, and proof of the Qualifying Purchase before the prize is awarded.

8. Disqualification

8.1 The Promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant who:

• fails to meet the eligibility requirements set out in clause 3;
• fails to meet the entry requirements set out in clause 4;
• appears to be a giveaway hopping account as described in clause 3.4;
• submits an entry that is fraudulent, abusive, or in breach of Instagram's own terms of use; or
• engages in conduct that the Promoter reasonably considers to be an attempt to manipulate or unfairly influence the outcome of the Competition.

8.2 The Promoter's decision in relation to any aspect of the Competition, including eligibility and disqualification, is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.

9. General

9.1 This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc. Entrants provide their information to Hunt and Gather and not to Instagram or Meta.

9.2 The Promoter collects and processes personal information submitted as part of this Competition solely for the purposes of administering the Competition and awarding the prize, in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Personal information will not be used for any other purpose without the entrant's consent, and will not be shared with third parties except as required to fulfil the prize.

9.3 By entering, the winner consents to the Promoter using their name and Instagram handle for reasonable promotional and marketing purposes related to the Competition, without further compensation.

9.4 The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries that are not received due to technical failures, network issues, or any other cause beyond its reasonable control.

9.5 The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend, or withdraw the Competition at any time, for any reason, including if it becomes technically corrupted or cannot be conducted as planned.

9.6 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
